The technical design of our roller conveyors in the heavy duty range is very much dependent on the properties of your conveyed materials.
In principle, roller conveyors in the heavy duty range are realized with chain drives from roller to roller. The spacing between the rollers and the roller type are designed according to the weight and length of your conveyed materials. The drive type is also based on the expected weight on the track or the individual station.
The drive could be realized either by a motorized roller (one of the installed rollers has a built-in motor) or by a conventional gear motor. Both variants have their advantages and disadvantages. The gear motor can be used to drive longer lines, and this therefore has an effect on the cost per station. However, a more sophisticated and complex control system must ensure optimum use of all available stations.
Due to the drive with the aforementioned motorized roller, the conveyor can be built extremely low, as the drive is already installed in the track. It is much simpler to control the system and every space on the entire line is optimally used.
